horse tack, equestrian tackMy mom is a sucker for romantic stories. I realized this early on in life after seeing countless novels in our bookshelf with Fabio looking guys on the cover. She admits most of the romantic genre is the same story with different character names and settings but loves them none the less. She made my brother and I watch films like Gone With The Wind, Fiddler On The Roof and The Notebook. I will say The Notebook isn’t so bad for a romantic movie. I could hear the happiness in her voice as she told me a story about our neighbor’s recent 20-year anniversary. She has known the family since I was just a little dude in diapers. The wife, Cindy, always had a passion for equestrian tack and riding horses. Her husband rode horses but it was more of a hobby he picked up from his wife. They store their horse, Kona, at a local equestrian center not more than 2 miles down the street.

My mom went on to explain how Cindy’s husband bought her a fantastic horse tack inspired bracelet similar to the 14K with Silver & Diamond Horse Shoe Cuff 14D-.11 featured above. My mom explained this bracelet in great deal and her story reminded me of the bracelet above while shopping around Jewelry Tack Room at http://www.jewelrytackroom.com/ for electronics. The way Cindy’s husband presented the bracelet is what my mom thought was so cool. They visited their horse like normal the weekend of the anniversary. He’d rented out a block of time at the center so they had it to themselves. Amongst the horse tack, show halters and conchos, he had a two person candle lit lunch sitting on a table clothed table in a groomed portion of the pasture. On that table was a box with the equestrian tack inspired bracelet. After lunch, they spent the day riding and then it was off to anniversary dinner. I have to say that is a pretty great way to show your wife of 20 years the romantic spark hasn’t died out.

My mom told me this horse tack story as if she wanted me to take notes for my future wife. She has always been the first one to tell me how important it is to keep romance in a relationship. Honestly, it gets somewhat annoying when she’s giving me advice on my relationships but that is what moms do. I’ll keep this horse tack story in mind if my wife ends up loving horses too.
