equestrian tack, show halterLos Angeles and the residents of this huge city are not new to breaking records. The past couple of days have been record breaking because of the heat. Tuesday was in the high eighties and then yesterday was over 90 degrees. It is hard for me to believe we are into the first week of November. I went hiking on Tuesday and saw a couple of people on horseback riding trails off in the distance. First thing that came to mind was those ponies must be hotter than I was because of all their equestrian tack. I was in loose shorts and tee shirt. The horses had on show halters and other items I couldn’t make out from the distance. Today might be just as hot.

If I owned a horse, I’d be keeping him indoors this week. It is like a freak heat wave is rolling though Southern California before it becomes winter. Mother Nature just keeps pushing off the cold end of the year weather. It is sort of annoying. Either way wearing or applying equestrian tack in this heat is not the best idea.
