When my daughter received a horse from her grandparents as a birthday gift this year, I had no idea that we’d need to buy things like a horse halter and so many other little things. The truth of the matter is I’ve always been a little scared of horses, so when my mom asked if we could pick up a horse halter for the horse, I really had no idea what she was talking about. I didn’t know where to even find such a thing, so I did what most people these days do when they need something and aren’t sure where to find it; I turned to the Internet.
Surprisingly, I was able to find a great deal of information about where to order a horse halter online, but before I did anything, I called my mom to ask her if she knew what would be considered a good price for a halter and she didn’t. She did give me a number of someone to call, who owns the local stable, so I made the call. I talked to a really nice man for a while, and told him the situation and asked if the price was a good one. He said that the Internet is always the best place for ordering supplies and that the price I’d found for the horse halter was great. I guess I have a lot to learn about this horse business, including not being so scared of them.
