Now that my daughter has decided to start riding in shows, I mentioned to her that I think we need to start looking for a show halter for her horse. When I first mentioned it, she said that she didn’t want a show halter that she wanted to use the same one that she’d always used, simply because it brought her luck. In fact, I noticed that she seemed to have a little anxiety about it and even mentioned that she’d never win if she had to use another halter, because Dibby had been wearing the same halter since we had her. She was right about that, but when I started looking online for a show halter, she happened to come in the room and spotted one that she liked. She was so excited about how pretty it was that she forgot all about the fact that she didn’t want a show halter for her horse. Needless to say the one she liked is the one we ordered, and she’ll ride in her first show in July. I’m looking forward to it, and I know my daughter is too.
