Making Ed Look the Part with Equestrian Tack |

Growing up one of my close friends, who lived down the neighborhood hill had a short stint competing within local equestrian competitions. They consisted of small jumps, prancing around the judges and other categories that escape me. I don’t know much about horses. What I do know was when this friend was readying for a weekend competition we put together equestrian tack to make Ed look the part. Ed was a large male horse, brown and proud. I often saw him gnawing on tall grass near the field fence while riding my bike down their long gravel driveway. After we were finished with the equestrian tack, much of which we found from his mom he as a girl had competitively ridden horses.
Back then no one went online to buy show halters or conchos. Maybe a person would search early websites for phone numbers but never to buy equipment. These were the early days of the web. Now just about everything a horse hobbyist could want is digitally available. What a difference a decade can make. I wonder what the future of online shopping will hold.
