When I watch a good rider on a horse it seems as though the two are one. They move together in a rhythmic dance that is simply beautiful! I find it quite mesmerizing to observe the smooth sway as the rider and horse gallup by performing a routine. 

I believe that the choice of equestrian tack can make a big difference on how well the rider and horse team work together. Both parties need to feel comfortable with each other and the equestrian tack they are using. I have seen all kinds of equestrian tack. Depending on the show or the function certain items are chosen to be used by the rider.

Once the choice of equestrian tack has been made for a particular event the rider and horse begin that pre-ride warm up. The bond between rider and horse can make or break how well they perform together. I think that it is very important that both rider and horse are secure in the knowledge of the equestrian tack has been put on properly and is in working order. That way they can hit the arena with only the joy of performing on their minds!
