Horse Tack Becoming More Common on Local Trail |

Summer is in the air and that has really brought out more people to a local hiking trail. There are low-lying mountains bordering where I live that offer a network of mild trails that weave in and out of ridges and valleys. While some of these trails are for jogging or walking, others are for horses. There is a surprising amount of equestrian and horse stables nestled around the base of these hills. The other day, while hiking, I spotted at least 5 people riding horse off in the distance. From the vantage point I took a rest on, I spotted trails down below where people love to take their horses because it is really wide and not that steep. Horse tack is becoming more common on this trail as the sun heats up.
I’m tempted to take one of the trails over to a horse barn sitting at the base of the mountain to see what they offer in terms of rentals. Riding horses decjked out in horse tack would be a great day or just a fun out of the blue experience. I’m sure they have horse halters and all riding equipment there as well.
