equestrian tack, horse tackWhen my friend asked me to help him clear out his parent’s garage, I wondered why I would agree to such a thing. He is a great guy but the idea of spending a Saturday afternoon slaving away in a messy garage did not seem like a top priority. Then he told me that they would buy us beer and make us BBQ for our troubles. That sold me. His dad is a wizard on the grill. He has mastered everything from a spicy chicken to a burger cooked just right. I did not expect to face a garage with so much junk in it. I don’t think his parent’s are horders but they are definitely not convincing anyone otherwise with their garage. There were stacks of old albums, Christmas decorations, old signs, bicycles, rugs, silverware, equestrian tack, conchos and tools.

Our job was to sort everything into piles, get rid of the garbage and then put everything back on new shelves his parent’s had purchased. I asked what the deal with all the equestrian tack was and found out his mom used to ride. They saved it just in case they bought another horse. That never happened so we posted all of horse tack in the classifieds.
