equestrian tack

When my daughter wanted to learn to ride horses I did some checking into different opportunities in our area. She had always been fond of horses since she was a small child. My daughter received many little pony toys as she grew up. Her grandparents even got her a miniature stuffed pony that she could sit on and play as though she were actually riding it. I recall her pretending to put on and taking off equestrian tack with that fluffy friend.

So, when my daughter was big enough we decided it was time for her to ride the real thing. I found a beginner class that used western style equestrian tack. I felt secure putting my young daughter in a western saddle. She could hold onto the horn if things got too bumpy. And sometimes they did as the horse remained trotting while she prompted it to go into a canter. Part of her riding experience was to learn to move up and down in the western equestrian tack and saddle to avoid much of the bumpiness.

My daughter caught on quickly and became involved in horse shows. She learned to care for the equestrian tack and even took on a small job at the facility. A couple years later my husband offered to buy my daugheter her own horse. She was out of her mind ecstatic!
