My job does not call for business attire so much of the time, a person won’t find me wearing anything more than a pair of jeans and t-shirt. Casual is great but once in the while it is nice to get dressed up with nice duds. It is a confidence booster. This is true for people and also for animals. Animals know when they are looking good. After my roommate gave his dog a haircut, the little guy came out running around like a wild man, jumping in circles and wagging his tail. He knew he looked good. Horse is a smart animal. Like dogs, they have been helping people out for a very long time. They understand appreciation. A show halter for an everyday ride has to make them feel pretty good.

Do something every day no matter how great it is and it will become the norm. Like if I wore a suit each day before work, it wouldn’t feel as sweet to dress up like it does now. A show halter is the same. A horse knows when a nicer than average show halter is strapped up for a ride. On special rides try using a show halter and see if your horse trots higher.
