My brother has been riding horses since the time he could walk, or at least that is the joke within our family. He has been in many shows and in the wall in his table has an amazing show halter collection. He’s very superstitious in the fact that once he wins a show, he retires that particular show halter and never lets the horses wear it again. He said that it brought him luck once, but wouldn’t again. Obviously that isn’t true, but it’s one of those little things that my brother is convinced of, so I don’t challenge him. One thing he’s started doing in the past several months is buying his horse tack online. I actually told him about it when I was looking for a show halter for him as a gift and saw how much better the prices were. At that point he’d never considered shopping online for supplies but once he started looking himself, he saw the huge price differences and now you won’t find him shopping anywhere but online. He has a show coming up in two weeks and I’m going to try to fly out and surprise him. I can’t wait to see him ride. It has been a while.
