equestrian tack, horse tackMy mom has her annual end of August garage sale with all her friends in the neighborhood like clockwork. They put it together for this Saturday and decided to try selling what no one bought today because the sunny weather. She said the biggest sellers were old albums and equestrian tack her friend who recently sold her horse brought over. There are a lot who ride horses around where I grew up. It’s no surprise the horse tack went quick. My mom’s friend is extremely nice. I bet she let her horse halters go for pennies on the dollar.

My mom always went through all my old toys when this annual garage sale came around as a kid. She’d sell stuff I never used but still wanted. As I ran around outside or went on bike rides she secretly grabbed my old toys and put little price tags on them. At the garage sale, I’d find the model cars, action figures, old DVDs and wonder what she was thinking. That was when I swiped the toys off the coffee tables and ran home without looking back.
