equestrian tack, horse tackYesterday, with no family in state to go have a nice breakfast or dinner with, three other friends in the same positions got together and we took an amazing ride through the Malibu canyons that at point expose the Pacific Ocean below. The network of snaking roads mostly runs through assorted neighborhoods of those with either very large houses or those with ranches. Much of it is nothing by twisting street, which made it fantastic for our motorcycles, but at points, the road slows into residential areas where you have to go slower and in turn take it all in.

There was one section while riding along a fenced off ranch where assorted horse tack came into view. It looked like a family was taking their Easter afternoon to ride their large horses trotting along the grassy field. It reminded me of home. I didn’t live on a ranch but many people in the area did. From equestrian tack to horse halters, they were always close by as a kid. It was cool to see it all again in such a different setting.
