Garage Clean Out Reveals Horse Halters |

A couple months ago, while visiting friends and family up north, I was asked to help my mom’s friend clean out her garage to speed up her moving process. Her name is Cindy and she loves to hold on to just about everything. I wouldn’t call her home cluttered but her two car garage bordered on pack rat status. Between a hundred water and sun warped records sitting in the back corner to holiday decorations not hung for years to a big pile of horse halters, there were random artifacts from past days all over the place.
She was very adamant about saving the horse halters for a friend who owns horses. I was the guy in charge of picking up the pile of horse halters and cleaning them up. The first few I grabbed off the back wall were dusty and after lifted, revealed a couple really nasty looking black spiders. Cindy had ridden horses with her daughter decades ago but for whatever reason never got rid of her old horse halters. After we got them all out of the garage, hosed them down and shook any hidden spiders out they actually looked really good. Cindy smiling ear to ear told me she couldn’t throw them away because how much they cost even online. I don’t think she knows about some of the affordable online retailers out there but I get her thinking.
