equestrian tack, horse haltersEvery single sport or hobby has a specific look to go along with it. Dirt bike riders have their jerseys, helmets, gloves, padded pants, boots, and chest armor and horseback riders have equestrian tack. This is a world I have not had a lot of experience within but there have been a couple moments riding and watching others race or jump that stick out in my mind. I grew up in a very rural area. I didn’t live on a farm but there were farms outside of the suburban neighborhoods within a few minutes. A few of my childhood friends grew up on a horse and entered local competitions.

 

There were a couple times I watched them jump in similar fashion to the horse video above. It was pretty uneventful but probably fun to do first hand. No matter what the skill level, all the riders had the proper equestrian tack. From the black helmet to horse halters. It is a very proper sport probably because of the cost. Maintaining a horse as I learned moving hay at a buddies house is a full time job.
