When my daughter started riding horses, she needed some horse tack to get started. My husband and I had to buy her a saddle, reins and those kinds of things when she got started with her lessons. It wasn't cheap but I found a way to get it less expensively. I went online and did a search and found many shops that offered horse tack with good discounts. Some of it was new and some was used, which didn't matter to us either way since she was just getting started. Eventually we had to buy halters and bridles, and more equestrian tack like that. It was a process, at least we didn't have to have it all at once. Riding horses costs money, but if the person riding loves it, they don't mind spending it. Since our daughter loves it so much we didn't mind buying her what she needed for horse tack. As she gets older and has a job, she can buy even more of what she wants for horse riding. Maybe she will do it professionally one day, even.
